Exchange fee calculator
Maker and taker fees are charged on the full position size, not on your margin. See the fee per trade and what you pay per month.
How it's calculated
- Position size = price × quantity, or margin × leverage. 50,000 × 0.2 = $10,000.
- Fee per side = position size × fee rate. $10,000 × 0.05% = $5.00; opening and closing as taker = $10.00 round trip.
- Average fee rate = taker fee × taker share + maker fee × maker share. 0.05% × 60% + 0.02% × 40% = 0.038%.
- Fees per month = monthly volume × average fee rate. $1,000,000 × 0.05% = $500.00.
- Rebate (optional) = monthly fees × rebate share. With an example share of 30%: $500.00 × 30% = $150.00 per month.
The 30% share is an example for the arithmetic, not a quote. Funding payments are not included.
Questions
Why is the fee charged on the position size and not on my margin?
The exchange charges its fee on the full value of the order. With 10x leverage a $1,000 margin opens a $10,000 position, so a 0.05% fee is $5.00 — that is 0.5% of your margin.
What is the difference between maker and taker?
A taker order executes immediately against existing orders (for example, a market order). A maker order waits in the order book (a limit order that is not filled at once). Maker fees are usually lower.
What is the "taker share of volume"?
The part of your monthly volume executed as taker orders. If you mostly use market orders, keep 100%; if half of your volume is limit orders filled from the book, enter 50%.
Does a rebate change the fees I pay?
No. You pay the standard fees as usual. A rebate is paid separately, from the partner commission the rebate service receives for your trading.
